Alejandro Gutierrez is an AssociateDirector at Arup Urban Design leading arange urban development projects globally such as Dongtan Eco City-Shanghai, Wanzhuang Eco City-Beijing,Port Regeneration Strategy-Copenhagen, Dubai WaterfrontMasterplan Sustainability Review ,Stratford City -London, Battersea PowerStation-London, Wembley IndustrialEstates in London, and UrbanyaStrategic Plan in Santiago – Chile. Healso is an invited lecturer to LondonSchool of Economics, Said BusinessSchool – Oxford University, UCL BartlettSchool of Architecture, UniversidadIberoamericana, Universidad Catolica inChile, Architectural Association-UK,RIBA. He has also done several interviews for BBC, The Guardian, LeMonde, Wired Magazine and Monocle, regarding sustainable urban development in the context of China anddeveloping countries. Prior to joining Arup he worked in Chile in a range ofpractices and projects associated with urban development, urban planning and regeneration.
